Real conservatism died about a generation ago… The so-called conservatives of today are perfectly happy to grow the goverment leviathan to ever larger proportions. They are only too quick to spend our hard-earned tax dollars on ego-centric unnecessary wars… They marry the worst aspects of intrusive social conservatism with the spendthrift ways of irresponsible fiscal liberalism.
